Most accidents are caused by people’s actions and omissions (Human Behaviour).
To prevent accidents you must overcome your actions and omissions and reflect on the following.
- Are there any unsafe Acts and Conditions in your surrounding environment?
- What if the unexpected happens?
- Is there a better way of doing things?
- Are you familiar with emergency procedures?
- Do you obey instructions? e.g. Road traffic signs?
- Do you maintain your vehicle and equipment regularly?
- Are you a defensive driver?
- Do you wear your seat belt?
- Do you drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs?
