GOIL has, in the recent past, embarked on large-scale modernization of its stations – the customer interface point. The objective has been to provide modern stations in every region to serve the communities. Unlike its major competitors, GOIL believes that by supporting economic activities at the local level, wealth creation in the Golden Age of Business would become a reality. The company’s new stations at Kentinkrono, Kronum, Tamale, Techiman, Atomic Energy Junction, Bawku, etc., are concrete examples of this objective. The new or refurbished stations are designed and equipped to render high quality service to the consuming public.
The GOIL Convenience shop, which has been branded the GOIL C-shop (C meaning convenience), has been launched as GOIL’s version of the marts and shops at forecourts. GOIL C-shop is becoming the standard at GOIL Service and Filling stations. GOIL is looking at a situation where all GOIL stations in the country will have GOIL C-shops.
Moreover, plans are afoot to create shopping, fast food and recreation centres at selected, strategically located stations, in cooperation with owners of strong brand names in the leisure and entertainment industry.
Private and government organizations continue to benefit from the services of GOIL. Some of these organizations are: Akosombo Textiles, Cocoa Services, Office of the President, Ghana Telecom, Japan Motors, Azar Chemicals, Guinness Ghana Limited, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Railways, Intercity STC and others
